Privacy Policy
ModelAny is a free, open-source browser extension that sends one prompt to multiple AI models. This policy explains what information ModelAny handles and how your privacy is protected. In short: ModelAny is local-first and never uploads your prompts to its own servers.
1. What ModelAny does not collect
- ModelAny does not upload your prompts, questions, or AI responses to any ModelAny server.
- ModelAny does not maintain accounts, and does not require you to sign up or log in.
- ModelAny does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
2. Data stored locally on your device
To make the extension work, ModelAny stores the following only in your browser's local storage, on your own device:
- Your draft prompt text, so you don't lose what you were typing.
- Your settings, such as which models are selected and whether auto-send is enabled.
- Recent prompt history, so you can reuse earlier questions.
This data never leaves your browser through ModelAny. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension's data or uninstalling the extension.
3. Third-party AI services
When you send a prompt, ModelAny opens the official websites of the AI models you selected (for example ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM, Qwen, Doubao, or Wenxin) and fills in your prompt there. From that point on, your prompt is handled by those services under their own privacy policies. ModelAny only sends your prompt to the services you actively choose.
4. Browser permissions
ModelAny requests only the permissions it needs to open the AI chat tabs, fill in your prompt, optionally submit it, group the opened tabs, and offer a right-click "ask multiple AIs" menu for selected text. These permissions are used solely to deliver those features and not for tracking.
5. Website analytics
This marketing website (modelany.app) uses privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics) to understand overall traffic, such as page views and referrers. This applies to the website only — not to the extension — and is not linked to your prompts.
6. Open source
ModelAny is open source. You are welcome to review how it handles data on GitHub.
7. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will be revised. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
